Our Programs
The Central Illinois Continuum of Care works with our broader community and Continuum members to address our local homelessness crisis by partnering with multiple agencies that share our goals. This work aids our neighbors through a variety of programs tailored to individuals’ specific needs.
Transitional Housing
Transitional Housing is temporary, supportive housing that bridges the gap between homelessness and permanent housing, helping individuals stabilize and rebuild their lives. Transitional Housing programs provide temporary accommodation, generally up to 24 months, to individuals, youths, and families experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or recovering from addiction.
Transitional Housing provides stability, skill-building opportunities, and guided support to help people regain independence. As part of the broader homelessness response system, transitional housing plays a key role in preventing long-term homelessness and promoting self-sufficiency.
