Our Programs

The Central Illinois Continuum of Care works with our broader community and Continuum members to address our local homelessness crisis by partnering with multiple agencies that share our goals. This work aids our neighbors through a variety of programs tailored to individuals’ specific needs.

Domestic Violence

Survivors of domestic violence, assault, and other forms of abuse are disproportionately represented in the homeless population. Statictics show a difficult reality: 38% of all domestic violence victims become homeless at some point in their lives, and more than 90% of homeless women have experienced severe physical or sexual abuse at some point in their lives. Survivors of domestic or intimate partner violence frequently experience obstacles both in looking for housing and maintaining safe housing.
